iSCHOOL DIVERSITY RESOURCES

The iSchool actively seeks to promote diversity in its student body and staff. It boasts a truly international faculty and attracts students from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

UPCOMING DIVERSITY EVENTS

The Information School sponsors activities that highlight diversity in our community and also in the information field. The following is a sampling of the types of activities offered throughout the year. We encourage your participation and also your ideas on future activities to pursue.

Meet and Greet for Admitted Prospective Students of Color and Students Dedicated to Diversity:

Thursday, April 2, 2009, 3:30-4:30pm, Mary Gate Hall (MGH) 370, Dean's Suite

Similar in nature to the Fall Meet & Greet, this event is immediately prior to the GO-MAP Prospective Student Days Spring Reception and connects admitted prospective iSchool students of color and other students, faculty, and staff interested in diversity at the iSchool and the UW. We will gather for a short reception, and iSchool prospective and current students, faculty, and staff attending the GO-MAP Prospective Student Days Spring Reception can walk together from our Meet & Greet at 4:30.

As you will be a current iSchool student, we would love to have you attend to meet our prospective students!
