The AAUW Educational Foundation [http://www.aauw.org/ef/] One of the largest private sources of funding for graduate women in the world. Supports aspiring scholars around the globe, teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented. The Foundation also makes several prestigious annual awards to recognize excellence in achievement. This website includes information on the AAUW’s various fellowships and grants as well as an application form.

Business and Professional Women's Organization Career Advancement Scholarship Program [http://www.bpwusa.org/content/BPWFoundation/Scholarships/scholarships_introtext.htm] Provides scholarship support of $500 to $1,000 to assist women who are 25 years of age or older, and are seeking the education necessary for entry or re-entry into the workforce, or advancement within a career field. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, and must demonstrate financial need. See the BPW web site for additional information on eligibility requirements, and application procedures. Scholarships must be postmarked on or before April 15 to be considered eligible.
